Detailed ItineraryDay 1: Arusha - Mountain Village Lodge On arrival at Kilimanjaro, you will be met and assisted by one of our representatives. Transfer to your lodge at the foot of Mt. Meru. Meals and overnight at Mountain Village Lodge Day 2: Tarangire - Kikoti Tented Camp After breakfast, drive to Kikoti Tented Camp with a lovely hilltop location on a private concession area adjacent to Tarangire National Park, game-viewing en-route. A beautiful park with indigenous woodlands and grasslands interspersed with gigantic baobab trees, Tarangire NP is rich in game particularly in the dry season between August and November when game migrates into Tarangire to feed on the grass and permanent rivers. You will enjoy extended game drives in Tarangire. Meals and overnight at Kikoti Tented Camp Day 3: Tarangire - Kikoti Tented Camp Whole day in Tarangire with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Kikoti Tented Camp Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge After a relaxed breakfast, we head for the awesome Ngorongoro Crater to arrive for lunch at your lodge. Today we relax and absorb the stunning scenery of this natural wonder. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge After breakfast, depart for half day game drive on the crater floor, which contains the highest density of wildlife anywhere in Africa, returning to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure enjoying the magnificent view of the crater from your lodge. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge After breakfast, depart for morning game drive on the crater floor, returning to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 7: Serengeti National Park - Serengeti Serena Lodge After a relaxed breakfast, we drive to the pre-historic site of Olduvai Gorge, before heading for central Serengeti. After lunch at the lodge, we conduct an evening game. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge Day 8: Serengeti National Park - Serengeti Serena Lodge Full day game drive in the Serengeti. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge Day 9: Serengeti National Park - Serengeti Serena Lodge Full day game drive in the Serengeti. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge Day 10: Serengeti National Park - Mbalageti Tented Camp After breakfast, we drive to the western corridor of Serengeti. Here Grumeti and Mbalageti Rivers and their several bywaters provide a different perspective on wildlife interactions. Here hundreds of huge Nile crocodiles lie patiently in wait for the wildebeest migration to arrive between June and July. When it does, and the wildebeest river crossings begin, the rivers provide perhaps the most vicious wildlife encounters in Africa. Arrive for lunch at your tented Camp. Afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at Mbalageti Tented Camp Day 11: Serengeti National Park - Mbalageti Tented Camp Full day game drives in the Serengeti. Meals and overnight at Mbalageti Tented Camp Day 12: Depart After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight from Grumeti to Arusha. Lunch has been reserved at a hotel in Arusha. In the evening transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your homebound flight. |
