On this 4 day Skeleton Coast Fly-in Safari guests will get acquainted with the desolate beauty of the northern Skeleton Coast Park in Namibia. The Skeleton Coast Park is a coastal desert characterised by storm-swept plains, rocky outcrops, canyons, seal colonies and many other stark features. Life here is a constant fight for survival.
Accommodation for this Namibia fly-in safari package will be at Skeleton Coast Camp which consists of 6 comfortable, luxurious tents with en-suite bathrooms. Some activities guests can look forward to are full day or half day nature drives or walks and excursions to the clay castles of the Hoarusib River, Rocky Point, the roaring dunes, Lichen fields, Seal colonies, Himba villages and a number of shipwrecks along the coast.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Windhoek to Skeleton Coast
The trip from Windhoek to the Skeleton Coast lasts for approximately 2,5 hours. The flight takes a north-westerly direction over Damaraland with its impressive geological formations. Enjoy an aerial view of the craters ancient volcanoes and meteorites have left in their wake. We continue from the Huab River mouth along the coast to the Khumib River. Get a bird's eye view of dunes, seal colonies and shipwrecks.
Late afternoon arrival at the Skeleton Coast Camp in time for a short sundowner excursion into the desert. The camp is situated alongside the dry river bed of the Khumib River in the Skeleton Coast National Park, which stretches from the south of the Hoarusib River to Cape Frio in the north.

Days 2 & 3: Skeleton Coast
Departure from the Camp after a wholesome breakfast to explore this vast area and return at sunset. The itinerary includes day trips to the clay castles of the Hoarusib, Rocky Point, a number of shipwrecks along the coast, hidden fresh water springs, into the sand dunes and to the Himba settlements. Some areas are traversed on foot to prevent vehicle tracks causing lasting damage to the delicate eco-system of the area. Until recently this area has practically been inaccessible.

Day 4: End of safari
Enjoy a half-day air excursion after breakfast. After lunch we board our plane and return to Windhoek.

- Departure for the 4-day safari every Wednesday (returning on Saturday) with a minimum of 2 participants
- Departure for the 5-day safari every Saturday (returning on Wednesday) with a minimum of 2 participants
