The Swakopmund Hotel is a 4 star luxury hotel, built in and around the impeccably restored old station building, within walking distance of Swakopmund's town centre and 2 blocks from the beach.An impeccably restored historic railway station building provides a dramatic facade to the entrance of the foremost hotel in Swakopmund, the coastal playground of Namibia. The historic old station, dating back to the late 19th century, forms the central feature of the complex and reception area of the hotel. The Swakopmund Hotel has 90 spacious superior rooms and two sumptuous presidential suites overlooking a charming courtyard and heated swimming pool. The 88 rooms and 2 suites are bright and spacious, decorated in Victorian style and have a wonderful view of the pool terrace. All rooms have mini bars, individual air-conditioning, television and bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. Facilities include a restaurant, a bar with live entertainment, casino, hairdresser, clothing and jewellery shop and a heated swimming pool. The Swakopmund Hotel has two restaurants. Platform One, built in elegant Victorian style, offers exquisite cuisine combined with first class service, and The Captain's Tavern, where you can feast on Namibia's bountiful sea harvest of Rock Lobster, Calamari, Kabeljou and many more seafood delicacies all prepared to perfection.
