Caprivi Accommodation

The Caprivi Region is the far north-eastern extremity of Namibia and the gateway to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the Chobe National Park in Botswana.

Katima Mulilo is the major centre in the Caprivi region. The area is highly populated with scattered settlements of subsistence farmers cultivating Mahangu and other crops, tending their cattle, or living off freshwater fish. Over the past years crafts in Caprivi have become an important income generator for the rural community.

The Caprivi is divided into three distinct areas by the Kwando and Okavango rivers. These are the Mukwe triangle west of the Okavango River, East Caprivi, east of the Kwando River and the Caprivi Strip, the narrow section between the two.
