Shumbalala Lodge is situated in the Thornybush Private Game Reserve, in the heart of the beautiful Lowveld, adjacent to the world-famous Kruger National Park.

Mother nature herself had a hand in setting out Shumbalala Lodge. Nestled under magnificent trees on the bank of a river bed, overlooking an active water-hole lie four suites and two superior suites with plunge pool.

Accommodating a maximum of eight guests, exclusivity and personalised service are hall marks of this intimate lodge. Shumbalala Game Lodge's two bedroomed suite, in addition to all of the facilities of the standard suites, boasts a separate dining room, lounge, and a private pool deck and pool, and fireside facility. The ultimate in luxury and exclusivity.

Shumbalala Game Lodge caters a sumptuous cuisine prepared by a well-trained chef. Meals are taken either on the lodge decks positioned to ensure scenic vistas or by candlelight in more formal surroundings in the main dining room accompanied by a crackling fire in winter. Open-air fireside dinner is an occasion, and an opportunity to share your experience.

Shumbalala Lodge's qualified and experienced ranger and trackers are ever present accompanying you on early morning and afternoon / evening game drives. Bush walks are also undertaken to please the more adventurous. A safari in this unspoilt reserve is shared with an abundance of birds and wild life as they roam the Savannah and riverine forests.
