Royal Malewane is situated in the Thornybush Private Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park, in the heart of big game country.

Royal Malewane is one of Africa's most exclusive private luxury game lodges, accommodating a maximum of 16 guests in utmost colonial splendour. The thatched lodge has been beautifully decorated in an elegant, colonial style with antiques, comfortable deep-cushioned couches, and Persian rugs.

Each of the six freestanding and private suites rests in harmony with its magnificent surroundings with a wooden viewing deck, thatched gazebo and private spillway pool finding easy residence in nature. Each of suites include a fireplace, ball-and-claw Victorian bath, and indoor and outdoor showers.

The jewel of Royal Malewane is the new Royal Suite, the largest and most exclusive in Africa. This is an ultra lavish, private hideaway and accommodates a further 4 guests in two en-suite rooms, private lounge and dining facilities, with the complimentary services of a private butler, chef and masseur.

The food is an important part of the experience, with fine dining by candlelight in the dining room - or by starlight in the boma against the backdrop of a crackling fire. Leisurely brunches may be enjoyed before relaxing in the privacy of your gazebo, cooling off in your pool, or viewing game from the deck and spotting the brilliant bird life.
