Ngala Game Lodge is a gracious, colonial-style safari lodge and renowned for its superb accommodation. Ngala provides an unbeatable family safari experience in the heart of the Kruger National Park.

Situated in the Ngala Private Game Reserve, Ngala has exclusive traversing rights over 14 780 hectares of Kruger's two million hectares, one of the richest and most strategically important wildlife areas on the continent.

When you enter Ngala Game Lodge, you encounter a world capturing the romance and elegant traditions of a bygone time, the era of classic safari. Ngala Game Lodge is set on the banks of the Mapone riverbed and features antique-filled interiors and a timeless, unhurried atmosphere.

The 20 Ngala Game Lodge thatched cottages are shaded by Mopane Trees, providing a gracious retreat. All feature air conditioning, intimate verandah and green slate en-suite bath and shower. The focal point of each room is the inviting bed. During winter nights, the air conditioner becomes a heater, turning the cottages into cosy retreats. Bed heaters add a warm feeling of luxury. A decanter of sherry in the room is also a welcome touch.

With its secluded position overlooking the Mopane riverbed, Ngala’s sophisticated Safari Suite boasts a spacious sitting room, elegant en suite bedroom, private deck, personal pool and exclusive safari vehicle.

The main thatched dining, bar and sitting areas are open to the African bushveld, and the large swimming pool looks out over a busy waterhole where elephants are frequently sighted.

Delicious Pan-African cuisine is served in the candle- and lantern-lit courtyard or in the dramatic boma (outdoor dining area). Exceptional bush banqueting is enjoyed in spectacular settings in the African wilderness.

At Ngala you can enjoy Big Five game encounters on twice-daily, interpretive game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles led by expert rangers and Shangaan trackers. Ngala offers both off-road and night game drives affording excellent sightings and photographic opportunities.

The Reserve also feature a tented camp, Ngala Tented Safari Camp, set on the banks of the great Timbavati river. This absolutely luxurious and lavish new camp acts as a satellite camp to Ngala Game Lodge, about a 45 minute drive away.
