Detailed ItineraryDay 1: Nairobi - Nairobi Serena Hotel Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met and assisted by one of our representatives. Transfer to your hotel. Day is spent at leisure in Nairobi. Meals and overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Siana Intrepids Camp After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara using 4 x 4 vehicles and professional driver guide. You will spend 3 nights at the Siana Intrepids Camp enjoying full-day game drives in the Masai Mara with picnic lunches taken under a lone acacia tree surrounded by magnificent savannah grasslands teeming with wildlife. Our modern, customized Landcruisers and full-day game drives allow you to explore areas that are inaccessible to ordinary safari vehicles, resulting in doubly rewarding game viewing. Siana Intrepids Camp is a delightful camp on a private conservancy 25 minutes drive from the reserve. It works closely with the local Masai community for the benefit of sustainable tourism. Meals and overnight at Siana Intrepids Camp Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Siana Intrepids Camp Optional early morning balloon safari with champagne-style breakfast. Whole day in Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Siana Intrepids Camp Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha with its commanding setting at the foot of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Lake Naivasha is also an important horticultural area of Kenya. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon boat ride on the the lake. Meals and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge Day 6: Amboseli National Park - Tortilis Camp Today, drive over the Rift Valley Escarpment and head for southern Amboseli on the Kenya/Tanzania border. You will spend 3 nights at the luxurious Tortilis Camp facing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Its secluded location means game drives are quieter and more enjoyable than other parts of the park, while its proximity to the soda lake and the swamps adds an extra dimension to our 4x4 game drives. Meals and overnight at Tortilis Camp Day 7: Amboseli National Park - Tortilis Camp Whole day in Amboseli with Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Tortilis Camp Day 8: Amboseli National Park - Tortilis Camp Whole day in Amboseli with Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Tortilis Camp Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Today, we cross into Tanzania via Namanga and drive to Arusha for lunch, before heading for the awesome Ngorongoro Crater. Rest of the day at leisure enjoying the view of the crater from your lodge. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge After breakfast, descend on the crater floor for an exhilarating game drive inside the game-rich crater, home to the 'Big 5' as well as several other species of wildlife. Return to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 11: Serengeti - Serengeti Serena Lodge (or Mbuzi Mawe Camp) After a relaxed breakfast, we drive to the pre-historic site of Olduvai Gorge, before heading for central Serengeti. We conduct afternoon / evening game before arriving at our lodge. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (or Mbuzi Mawe Camp) Day 12: Serengeti - Serengeti Serena Lodge (or Mbuzi Mawe Camp) Full day game drives, exploring in depth the varied habitats of the central Serengeti eco-system. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (or Mbuzi Mawe Camp) Day 13: Serengeti - Serengeti Serena Lodge (or Mbuzi Mawe Camp) Full day game drives in the Serengeti National Park. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (or Mbuzi Mawe Camp) Day 14: Depart After breakfast, drive to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Lunch has been reserved for you at a hotel. After lunch drive back to Nairobi for your flight home. Optional Kilimanjaro to Nairobi flight available. |
