Detailed ItineraryDay 1: Nairobi - Nairobi Serena Hotel Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met and assisted by one of our representatives. Transfer to your hotel. Day is spent at leisure in Nairobi. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel Day 2: Samburu & Buffalo Springs - Samburu Serena Lodge After breakfast, drive north via Nanyuki and Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colourful game viewing in the country. Lunch en route at Kentrout Grill. Afternoon game drive en-route to your lodge. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge Day 3: Samburu & Buffalo Springs - Samburu Serena Lodge All day spent in the Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge Day 4: Aberdares National Park - Mountain Lodge After breakfast drive towards the slopes of Mount Kenya region and arrive at your Lodge in time for Lunch, you will spend the afternoon at leisure with game viewing at the Lodge. Meals and overnight at Mountain Lodge Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park - Sarova Lion Hill Lodge Drive via Nyahururu to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous as the home to thousands of lesser and greater flamingo. This park also provides sanctuary for Rothschild giraffe, rhino and leopard. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Mara Serena Lodge After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Mara Mara Serena Lodge Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Mara Serena Lodge Early morning optional balloon ride with champagne-style breakfast. Whole day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge Day 8: Serengeti National Park - Kirawira Camp After breakfast, drive to the border town of Isebania where you will go through the normal immigration and customs procedures. Proceed in Tanzanian vehicle to Serengeti National Park. Picnic lunch en-route. Afternoon game drive en route to your camp. Meals and overnight at Kirawira Camp Day 9: Serengeti National Park - Kirawira Camp All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Kirawira Camp Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. Arrive at your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 11: Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge After breakfast, depart for half day tour of the crater floor. Return to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Day 12: Lake Manyara - Lake Manyara Serena Lodge Breakfast at your lodge, then drive to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the Rift Valley's numerous alkaline lakes, which apart from its abundant bird life, is known for its tree-climbing lions. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge Day 13: Amboseli National Park - Amboseli Serena Lodge After breakfast, drive to the border town of Namanga where you will clear customs and immigration formalities. Proceed in Kenyan vehicles to the Amboseli National Park, lying below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge Day 14: Amboseli National Park - Amboseli Serena Lodge Whole day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge Day 15: Depart Early morning game drive, breakfast at your lodge, then drive to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. You will be dropped at a city centre hotel (optional day room). In the evening you will be transferred to the famous Carnivore Restaurant for farewell dinner. After dinner, drop off at The Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your flight back home. |
