The in Botswana is the largest inland delta in the world. Instead of flowing into the sea, the annual flood of fresh water flows inland, spreading over 15 000kmē of the Kalahari sand in a maze of lagoons and channels. The heart of the delta is accessed by air only and as it is an exclusive destination, it remains relatively unpopulated and wild.

The falls within the tribal land of the Batswana and is named after the late Chief Moremi III. Chief's Island is the largest landmass within Moremi and was the Batswana tribe's richest hunting grounds with a vast array of animals. Today, the Moremi Game Reserve rates as one of the leading wildlife areas of the world.

The consists of a pristine wildlife area and is bordered by the Linyanti River in the north and the Chobe National Park in the east. This private reserve is enormous and in one of the most remote and inaccessible parts of Botswana. The Linyanti area is very different from the Okavango Delta and should be included in every Botswana safari itinerary so that travellers have a more complete and varied experience of Botswana's different wildlife areas.

The most prominent feature of the is the huge concentration of elephants. It is not only the elephants that make this very special park worth visiting, but also the astounding natural beauty. Chobe has an amazing variety of habitats, ranging from floodplains, baobab, and mopane trees and acacia woodlands, to verdant flood grasslands and thickets bordering the Chobe River. Over and above the elephants, the Chobe National Park has an amazing variety of game, and many brilliantly coloured birds.
