Shinde Island Camp is nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta. Located at the edge of a lagoon, the camp is surrounded by clear waterways which flow over yellow sands and past palm-fringed islands teeming with birdlife and game.

Shinde is a photographer's delight. It's remoteness has ensured that the innocent wildlife has not been subject to the pressures of mass tourism.
Accommodation at Shinde Island Camp consist of 8 Meru-style tents with covered verandah and en-suite shower and flushing toilet.
The new central building offers table settings and imaginative meals prepared by our safari chefs, including fresh bread baked daily. The view from the raised dining area is of reeded waterways, which are home to a variety of birds. There is a plunge pool, which offers welcome respite during the heat of the day.
Activities at Shinde Island Camp include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, fishing for bream, pike and tiger fish, nature walks, exploring the waterways by mokoro or taking a visit to Gadikwe Island to view the breeding colony of herons, egrets, pelicans, cormorants and storks. At the end of the day relax around the campfire and enjoy the stillness of a star lit night.
